Kempinski Hotels Appoints Alan Chin to Lead Expansion and Transformation in China
Kempinski Hotels has appointed Alan Chin as Managing Director for Greater China and Mongolia. He will also serve as General Manager of KEY International Hotels Management Co. Ltd.
This strategic move aims to bolster the group's presence in a key market. Alan will join Kempinski's Group Executive Committee, overseeing operations and development in the region, focusing on expansion and supporting ongoing business transformation.

Alan Chin's appointment aligns with Kempinski Hotels' strategy to diversify its brand portfolio in China. The company plans to expand its luxury offerings rooted in Chinese heritage and introduce a new lifestyle hospitality brand.
Chin brings over 20 years of experience in hospitality and real estate within Greater China. His background includes roles at Accor Hotels and the China Hospitality Fund, where he led product development and investment site sourcing.
At Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, he held leadership positions such as Chief Executive Officer of Banyan Tree China, overseeing business operations and brand positioning.
In his new role, Alan will focus on enhancing Kempinski's luxury portfolio while spearheading new business initiatives tailored to the evolving market.
His responsibilities include driving strategic growth opportunities, forming partnerships, and ensuring Kempinski's renowned standards of luxury and service are maintained across all properties in Greater China and Mongolia.
