Empower And Unite: Why Women's Run 2024 In Dubai Is A Must-Attend Event

The Women's Run 2024, the largest women's-only running event in the region, is set to take at Al Forsan Park in Expo City Dubai on Sunday, November 3rd. Starting at 6 AM, participants can choose from a 3-kilometre, 5-kilometre, or the challenging 10-kilometre run. Early-bird tickets are now available for purchase.

Organised by Planb Events with support from the Dubai Sports Council and Expo City Dubai, The Women's Run 2024 aims to promote female health and well-being. This event also seeks to foster strength, unity, and progress within the community and beyond.

To help participants prepare for the race, free weekly training sessions are offered. These sessions are open to all residents and provide a supportive environment for building fitness and learning effective training techniques. Join the team every Monday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM with the 5:30 Run group and every Thursday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM with At The Park coach behind Marina Mall, Dubai.

The Women's Run also features a specially composed anthem designed to motivate participants. This powerful track will be played during weekly training sessions leading up to the event, creating a vibrant atmosphere of anticipation and unity within the community.

Women of Substance Initiative

This year's edition includes the Women Of Substance initiative, which aims to build a female community where each woman embraces her potential and inspires others. Remarkable profiles will share their stories of strength and resilience on social media. Participants include Aarefa Al Falahi, Ayesha Khan, Faouz Rejeb, Sophie Smith, Hollie Murphy, Jen Blandos, Kelly Lundberg, Sarah Lindsay, Lamis Al Hashimy, and Malavika Varadan.

The Women's Run 2024 has partnered with renowned brands such as ASICS and Rove Hotels. Other partners include Fade Fit snacks and community-focused organisations like Dubai Creek Striders and Special Olympics UAE. Cultural Ambassador Ahmed Al Hosani and Star ambassadors Ahsan Khan and Mary Cristine will also join to champion women's empowerment.

Launch Event Highlights

The event kicked off with a spectacular launch at Rove Downtown. Sponsors and community ambassadors were welcomed alongside representatives from Dubai Sports Council and Expo City Dubai. Dr. Harmeek Singh gave a welcome note as Women's Run Race Chairman. The official Women's Run 2024 T-shirt was revealed during this ceremony.

An inspiring Women's Run Anthem was unveiled by Ahmed Al Hosani, UAE's First Classical Singer. Motivational speaker Kelly Lundberg delivered a powerful speech as part of the Women of Substance initiative. A presentation by girls from The Hive further reinforced the commitment to celebrating women.

A special panel discussion on Women's Health was held during the launch event. Moderated by Katy Holmes of the British Chamber of Commerce, it featured insights from Sharon James, Mary Cristine, Irina Sharma, and Dr. Harmeek Singh.

Registration for The Women's Run 2024 is open via Premier Online with ticket prices starting at AED 52 for adults and AED 26 for juniors. A 15 per cent early bird discount is available until September 26th using code WR15.
