Jeddah’s Largest Private Rehabilitation Clinic Opens, Aiding Vision 2030 Goals

Baraya Extended Care has unveiled its new outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Obhur, a prime coastal city in Jeddah. The facility covers 1,100 square meters and includes 22 therapy rooms and four gyms, providing physical, occupational, speech and language therapy, as well as advanced and intensive rehabilitation services. The Jeddah clinic can accommodate over 40 therapists when operating at full capacity.

Addressing Saudi Arabia's growing healthcare needs

Saudi Arabia's ageing population has increased from 4.9 million in 2020 to 12.5 million in 2023, resulting in a significant shortage of long-term post-acute care and rehabilitation beds. To tackle this unmet need, which is a key priority of Vision 2030, Baraya plans to launch six outpatient rehabilitation clinics and three long-term care hospitals offering specialized local services in state-of-the-art facilities. It is estimated that these initiatives will generate over 500 jobs for Saudi nationals among the 1,300 staff across medical, clinical, administrative and managerial roles.

Jeddah s Top Rehab Clinic Opens

Baraya opened its first outpatient clinic in Riyadh earlier this year and expects to inaugurate its first in-patient long-term care hospital in Abha by the end of 2025. These hospitals will cater to the needs of Saudi Arabia's ageing population suffering from chronic and complex conditions, as well as younger individuals with catastrophic injuries or congenital diseases.

Commitment to exceptional extended care services

Jad Halaby, CEO of Baraya, expressed pride in the new Jeddah clinic's size and quality of facilities situated in a popular area attracting numerous residents and visitors. He emphasized Baraya's commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of specialized extended care services that align with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 healthcare goals while positively impacting patients' lives and their families within the Kingdom.
