Dubai Fashion Week SS'25 Day Four: A Cultural And Stylish Fusion Unveiled

Day four of Dubai Fashion Week (DFW) showcased an array of captivating collections, leaving a lasting impression on industry leaders, influencers, and fashion enthusiasts. Riva and CHOICE presented their Fall/Winter 2024 collections, while Deme by Gabriella made a notable debut with designs inspired by Greek Cypriot, African, and Indian cultures. Heaven Lights introduced their 'Solaraine’ collection, followed by Malaysian designer Alia Bastamam’s 'Odyssey: Act III.’ The evening concluded with Viva Vox's immersive runway experience. DFW is co-founded by Dubai Design District (d3) and the Arab Fashion Council.

The third edition of Threads Talks, organised by Instagram, brought together industry experts to discuss the future of fashion in the region. The event featured discussions on emerging retail formats, digital consumer strategies, and storytelling's role in shaping the Middle East's global image. Attendees included buyers, digital thought leaders, and creative industry professionals.

Riva's Luxurious Textures

Riva's Fall/Winter 2024 collection featured luxurious fabrics like leather, suede, organza, and denim. Intricate details such as pleats and embroidery added depth to the pieces. The colour palette ranged from earthy tones to deep shades, creating a striking visual contrast. The collection balanced feminine and utility-minded silhouettes for versatility while blending timeless elegance with modern chic aesthetics.

CHOICE Celebrates Womanhood

CHOICE's Fall/Winter 2024 collection paid tribute to womanhood with 70s-inspired monochromatic pieces. The collection featured versatile looks in colours ranging from off-whites to deep blacks. Standout items included tailored coats, blazers, and modern suits. Luxurious silks, metallic tweed, and shimmering details added glamour while honouring Dubai's cultural heritage with a modern touch. CHOICE also showcased inclusivity with a diverse range of sizes.

Deme by Gabriella Debuts

Deme by Gabriella made its debut at DFW with a collection that merged cultural heritage with contemporary styles. Inspired by her Greek-Cypriot roots and multicultural upbringing in Africa and India, Gabriella crafted a powerful collection celebrating bold women. Structured workwear and toga-inspired gowns with draped silhouettes captured the essence of the modern-day woman.

Heaven Lights' Modest Fashion

Indonesian brand Heaven Lights debuted at DFW with their 'Solaraine’ collection featuring 30 elegant modest fashion looks. The collection harmoniously blended contemporary elegance with modest fashion inspired by natural elements. Lightweight fabrics and unique patterns reflected the label’s commitment to versatile yet stylish modest wear.

Alia Bastamam Explores Empowerment

Malaysian designer Alia Bastamam showcased her Spring/Summer 2025 collection titled 'Odyssey: Act III,’ concluding her Odyssey series at DFW. The collection explored themes of self-discovery and empowerment through a mix of masculine and feminine aesthetics like tailored pants paired with corsets and bomber jackets combined with sheer fabrics. Inspired by Asia’s rich archipelago, Alia’s designs featured vibrant summer hues and sequins.

Viva Vox's Immersive Experience

Viva Vox captivated audiences on day four of DFW with an artistic presentation that transformed the runway into an immersive canvas for reflection. Each outfit encouraged personal interpretation and emotional response from attendees. The Russian brand is known for its bold aesthetic that sparks individual reflection through its creative vision.

The evening also saw Bil Arabi launch its latest jewellery collection over an exclusive dinner at Chez Wam attended by key figures from the fashion industry.
