Hatta Winter 2024 Initiative Showcases 30 Unique Entrepreneurial Projects

The Hatta Winter 2024 initiative, overseen by the Supreme Committee for Hatta Development, is boosting small and emerging businesses. This event allows them to present their unique products to visitors from the UAE and beyond. The initiative supports these businesses in finding new growth opportunities, enhancing their visibility, and expanding their market presence as part of Dubai's broader efforts to promote entrepreneurship.

Brand Dubai, the creative division of the Government of Dubai Media Office, plays a key role in facilitating this opportunity. It enables entrepreneurs to showcase their products at five captivating festivals across Hatta. These festivals are part of the initiative aimed at supporting budding entrepreneurs and promoting innovation within Dubai's business culture. Brand Dubai's Proudly from Dubai network features 30 projects in this year's showcase.

Hatta Winter Initiative Showcases Local Entrepreneurs

Khawla Al Hashemi, a member of the Organising Committee for the Hatta Winter Festival, highlighted the event's significance. "The Hatta Winter initiative represents an ideal opportunity for entrepreneurs who are members of Proudly from Dubai to showcase their diverse and innovative products to a larger audience from all over the UAE and beyond," she said. Last year, over 500,000 visitors attended from the UAE and Gulf region, validating local economic potential.

The event aligns with the goals of both the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. It benefits local communities while showcasing tourism potential. Many participating enterprises are led by young entrepreneurs from Hatta. The festival also includes ten enterprises under the 'Projects of Emirati Families Products’ initiative, highlighting Emirati heritage through unique offerings.

The Hatta Winter initiative features five distinct festivals: Hatta Winter Festival by Brand Dubai at Leem Lake; Hatta Cultural Nights by Dubai Culture and Arts Authority; Hatta Honey Festival; Hatta Agricultural Festival by Dubai Municipality; and Hatta x DSF by Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism. Each festival offers community activities that cater to all ages.

Visitors can explore a variety of products from textiles and apparel to food items like special burgers, pastries, and desserts. Coffee enthusiasts can enjoy diverse flavours ranging from hot brews to matcha variants served creatively. Asian cuisine lovers will find numerous options at participating restaurants.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) supports the event with its 'Hatta Express’ bus service offering 14 daily trips from Dubai to Hatta. Over 1,100 parking slots are designated exclusively for attendees. Seventeen buses transport visitors between parking areas and event venues, with shuttle services available to reach the crest of the Hatta Dam area.

Participating entrepreneurs expressed gratitude towards organisers like Brand Dubai for creating an exceptional experience that attracts tourists not only within Dubai but across wider regions too. They appreciate being part of such an impactful event that enhances their business prospects significantly.

The festival showcases luxurious Emirati perfumes alongside handcrafted traditional attire inspired by Emirati heritage—makhawir—and elegant jalabiyas blending modern style with authentic culture elements. This commitment enriches local culture while supporting family businesses rooted in genuine Emirati traditions through high-quality offerings available at these events.
