HANU: New Contemporary Korean Cuisine Dining Spot Soon In Dubai
A new Korean hotspot is coming to town. Located on the rooftop of St. Regis Gardens, Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, HANU is set to transform the landscape of contemporary Korean dining. The concept merges the rich heritage of Korean cuisine with a modern twist, offering a range of vibrant and artfully presented dishes that challenge traditional culinary boundaries.
The menu includes delicacies such as Korean Beef Tartare, Raw Red Prawns, and Crispy Bulgogi, along with innovative dishes like Beef Tartelette with quail eggs and caviar, Seafood Ceviche, KFC, and oversized Kimbap hand rolls, offering a fresh take on the classic Japanese sushi.

Leading the culinary team at HANU is Chef Kyung Soo Moon, a South Korean native with an impressive 24-year career that spans globally renowned restaurants, including SUSHISAMBA, Attiko, and Sachi. Under his leadership, HANU promises to deliver an exceptional menu that explores the depths of Korean flavors, combining creative flair with a focus on high-quality ingredients.
Guests are greeted by traditional and modern Korean design elements, from the striking hammered bronze entrance door to the luxurious interiors that blend dark walnut wood, roof tiles, and intricate Korean artwork. The ambiance reflects a harmonious fusion of heritage and luxury, accented with antique Korean furniture and traditional masks, creating an authentic and inviting atmosphere for memorable dining experiences.
The venue's layout includes a lounge area with high tables for pre-dinner drinks, a main dining room that accommodates 58 guests with traditional wooden carvings and brass screen mesh, and a private dining room for 10. The design centerpiece is a striking Korean pine tree around which 13 guests can dine in a visually stunning setting.
For al fresco dining, the terrace offers a tranquil ambiance under a bronze and wood pergola, surrounded by iconic kimchi pots and patterned screens, accommodating 44 guests.
At the heart of HANU's culinary offerings is the 'Meat me at the grill' experience. This unique feature allows guests to engage in a communal dining experience, with each table equipped with a bespoke charcoal grill from Korea. Diners can watch as skilled waitstaff prepare five exquisite cuts of meat to their preference, accompanied by six tantalising condiments.

The à la carte menu at HANU is meticulously organized into sections that highlight the diversity of Korean cuisine. From traditional Sotbap rice dishes and Korean specialties like Kimchi Stew and Grilled Lamb Chop Galbi to an array of starters, raw options, and oversized Kimbap hand rolls, the menu caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences, including vegetarian options that showcase Korea's rich ingredients and cooking techniques.
Additionally, HANU will offer an extensive selection of wine and spirits, including a curated array of high-quality Soju, the iconic Korean spirit. The cocktail selection, inspired by the pillars of Korean culture—'Tradition', 'Innovation', and 'Harmony'—is set to complement the culinary experience with innovative drinks that mirror the restaurant's ethos.
