The Guardians Of Water Festival Is Happening In Expo City Dubai This September

Discover the wonders of water at the Guardians of Water Festival, taking place over two weekends on 30–31 August and 6–7 September at Expo City Dubai's Terra. This event promises an engaging journey through our most vital resource, aiming to ignite interest and encourage conservation efforts among attendees of all ages.

The festival showcases a diverse array of activities designed to educate and entertain. Among these, live storytelling sessions stand out, featuring renowned children's authors Kathy Urban and Beverly Jatwani. Their enchanting narratives bring the aquatic world to life, engaging young minds with stories about the creatures and ecosystems that depend on freshwater.

The learning opportunities extend beyond storytelling, with interactive workshops that allow participants to get hands-on with water-related projects. These include building a model Falaj irrigation system, exploring water filtration techniques, engaging in Freshwater Heroes Bingo, and indulging in creative colouring sessions. Additionally, the Heritage Corner offers insights into modern desalination processes and the remarkable adaptations of camels to desert conditions.

For a total experience, visitors can join guided tours that highlight innovative approaches to fresh water conservation. The journey begins at a replica of the UAE's traditional Falaj irrigation system and proceeds to the Laboratory of Future Values.

Admission to the Guardians of Water Festival is set at AED 50 for adults, while children under 12 can enjoy the festivities for free. This fee covers a variety of hands-on activities and a guided exhibit tour, offering a full day of educational fun.

For those seeking an enhanced experience, an Attraction Pass is available for AED 160, granting complete access to Terra's interactive displays and events, along with entry to both the Alif and Vision Pavilion.
