ATM 2024: A Global Stage For Travel Innovation And Entrepreneurship In Dubai

The UAE is setting the stage for a significant convergence of international policymakers and industry leaders at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024. Scheduled to unfold at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 6-9, 2024, the 31st edition of this exhibition is poised to delve into the dynamic interplay between entrepreneurship and innovation within the global tourism landscape.

Over 200 speakers are slated to engage in more than 50 sessions across the four-day event, addressing critical topics like artificial intelligence's expanding role, the future of aviation, distinctive strategies in the luxury segment, retail tourism, and sustainable travel practices. The ATM 2024, renowned as the Middle East's premier event for travel and tourism professionals, aims to surpass its previous record-breaking 30th edition. With the theme 'Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship', the event will highlight new market opportunities, collaboration benefits, and investment attraction strategies.

Travel Innovation at ATM 2024

Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director ME of Arabian Travel Market, highlighted the event's focus on pioneering innovations and technologies set to redefine the travel sector's future. With an anticipated exhibitor participation increase of 23% from last year, ATM 2024 is expected to be the largest in its history. The event will see significant growth in various show verticals, including a 56% larger Travel Tech space and a 21% increase in hotel participation.

The exhibition will not only cover traditional leisure travel but also delve into luxury, business and MICE. An impressive lineup of regional and international policymakers will grace the event, featuring key figures such as Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Salem bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Oman's Minister of Heritage and Tourism.

ATM 2024 will also host discussions on emerging travel segments like experiential, accessible, and multi-generational travel, alongside the exploration of advancements in AI and their impact on the Middle East's travel industry. Building on the previous year's theme of 'Working Towards Net Zero', this year's edition will focus on environmentally responsible travel, aligned with the UAE's Year of Sustainability and the outcomes of the recent United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) hosted in Dubai.

Strategic partners for ATM 2024 include Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as Destination Partner, Emirates as Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Resorts as Official Hotel Partner, and Al Rais Travel as the Official DMC Partner.
