GITEX Global 2024 Reveals Exciting New Industry Programs And Cybersecurity Experts
With just two months until GITEX Global 2024, organisers have unveiled new industry programmes, cybersecurity experts, and keynote speakers from top brands. The event will be held from 14-18 October at Dubai World Trade Centre.
GITEX Global 2024 introduces GITEX Editions, aligning with Dubai's goal to host 30 start-up unicorns by 2030. This initiative aims to accelerate growth and governance for high-growth companies. Eight start-ups from eight countries, including three backed by the European Innovation Council (EIC), are confirmed as early speakers.

The event will spotlight cybersecurity with real-life stories, AI-driven live hacks, and intense CISO debates. Chenxi Wang, Managing General Partner of Rain Capital (US), and Ekaterina Serban, Vice President of Privacy and Information Security at Bosch (Germany), will make their debut.
Wang will discuss the increasing global investment in advanced security solutions and M&A activity in the cybersecurity sector. Serban will join a panel on corporate board engagement strategies for cybersecurity adoption.
Michael Spranger, president of Sony AI Inc., will address delegates from 180 countries for the first time at GITEX Global 2024. He will reveal Sony's latest research and development projects.
Chris Duffey, Futurist & Head of GenStudio at Adobe (USA), who co-authored the world's first book on AI with AI, will also debut. Isabell Gradert, VP Central Research & Technology for Airbus in Germany, will make her first regional appearance.
Tech Destination Pakistan has been named the 'Tech Destination of the Year’ for 2024. Represented by Pakistan Software Export Board, this recognition follows its presence in previous editions' Pakistan Pavilion.

- Fabrizio del Maffeo from Axelera AI (Netherlands) will speak about developing Gen AI infrastructure and edge computing. Axelera AI is valued at $500M and backed by Samsung and EIC. Dr. Alexander Zhavoronkov from InSilico Medicine (Hong Kong) will discuss advancements in AI-driven drug discovery and synthetic biology. His company is valued at $1.5B.
- Dr. Mazen Rizk from Infinite Roots (Germany) leads EU's largest mycelium-biotech investment focused on sustainable alternative proteins. Dr. Joseph Fitzsimons from Horizon Quantum Computing (Singapore) heads Singapore's biggest quantum startup backed by SG Innovate, Sequoia, and Tencent.
- Dr. Sunghyun Park from Rebellions (South Korea) aims to make Korea's first AI Semiconductor Chip Unicorn valued at $1.5B after acquiring Sapeon AI. Svilen Rangelov from Dronamics (UK) runs the world's first cargo drone airline aiming to revolutionise e-commerce globally.
- Emilio Scervo from Bugatti-Rimac (Croatia) represents the fastest-growing Croatian unicorn valued at $5 billion known for producing hypercars. Philippe Notton from SiPearl (France) focuses on high-performance semiconductor manufacturing for AI interfaces and supercomputing aimed at European technological sovereignty.
