ExpoCulinaire 2025 Opens At Expo Centre Sharjah With Global Chefs And Innovations
The 7th ExpoCulinaire, a major event for the food service and hospitality sectors in the Middle East, commenced at Expo Centre Sharjah. Organised by Purple Kitchen Events with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), this year's event runs until 23rd May. It gathers over 2,000 chefs worldwide to explore emerging trends and innovations in culinary arts.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, officially opened the exhibition. He was joined by Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice-Chairman of SCCI, along with other chamber board members and representatives from both public and private sectors. After the ceremony, attendees explored pavilions showcasing signature dishes and advanced culinary technologies.

Al Owais emphasised that supporting such events aligns with the Chamber’s strategy to enhance Sharjah’s economic resources. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the hospitality sector as part of the UAE's vision for sustainable development. "ExpoCulinaire plays a vital role in positioning Sharjah as a hub for specialised exhibitions that drive economic diversification and global partnerships," he stated.
Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, noted that this edition unites top professionals and numerous exhibitors specialising in culinary services and equipment. He described ExpoCulinaire as a flagship exhibition for Expo Centre Sharjah, underscoring its growing significance in the hospitality industry.
The event serves as an excellent networking platform for chefs and industry experts from hotels, restaurants, and catering companies. It features cutting-edge products, services, and technologies related to food, beverages, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
A standout feature is the 28th Emirates International Salon Culinaire competition hosted by the Emirates Culinary Guild. This prestigious contest showcases local and international chefs' talents, celebrating excellence in gastronomy. The event highlights culinary skills through various competitions.
ExpoCulinaire 2025 operates daily from 10:00 to 17:00. It includes curated display zones offering insights into diverse global cuisines through signature dishes and core culinary elements. Visitors can experience a wide array of food cultures during their visit.
The exhibition not only highlights innovative kitchen technologies but also presents advanced baking tools and high-end tableware. These innovations are tailored specifically for the hospitality industry’s needs in storage and refrigeration solutions.
