Expo City Dubai Unveils Festival Of Cake: A Sweet Celebration With World-Class Bakers
The Festival of Cake, a captivating event dedicated to the world of sweets and pastries, was recently introduced at Expo City Dubai, marking a significant addition to the UAE's culinary scene. This festival, a collaboration between Expo City Dubai and TGP International, is set to run from the November 28 until December 2.
A key attraction of the festival is the Festival of Cake Bake-Off, presenting an opportunity for baking enthusiasts to display their skills on an international platform. This event not only celebrates the art of baking but also features an extensive lineup of activities designed to entertain and educate.

These include dining experiences, cake-themed activities, a giant sprinkles pool, entertainment, and various competitions, making it an event that caters to a wide audience, from emerging bakers and celebrity chefs to families and cake aficionados.
The festival boasts participation from prominent figures in the baking world, such as Canadian baking sensation Anna Olson and Claire Clark MBE, one of the top pastry chefs globally. They're joined by Kimberly Lin, previously of Claridge's and Dominique Ansel Bakery, and Markus Bohr from Harrods.
Chef Sahar Parham Al Awadhi, known for her innovative takes on traditional Emirati recipes and Janice Wong, a celebrated Singaporean chef and chocolatier, are also part of this stellar lineup. Chef Sahar expressed her pride in contributing to an event that highlights Emirati cuisine on a global scale, while Chef Janice shared her excitement about participating in the festival and the unique opportunity it offers for culinary experts to connect with cake lovers worldwide.
Amna Abulhoul, the Executive Creative Director of Entertainment and Experiences at Expo City Dubai, highlighted the festival's significance as a celebration of dessert and a tribute to the meticulous artistry involved in cake making. She emphasized the festival's role in continuing the legacy of global events, with a focus on creating experiences that transcend cultural and linguistic barriers.
Abulhoul elaborated on Expo City Dubai's mission to craft immersive experiences that allow for connections beyond language, culture, and ethnicity, mentioning other initiatives like the Firdaus Orchestra and Dhai Dubai Light Art Festival.
Simon Wright, the Founder of TGP International, shared insights into the partnership with Expo City Dubai, noting the Festival of Cake as a testament to their joint efforts in bringing innovative F&B ventures to life.
