Emirates Celebrates Holi With Special Offerings On Flights To India
In a festive tribute to one of the most vibrant celebrations globally, Emirates is set to mark Holi, the festival of colours, with special onboard offerings. On the 13th and 14th of March, passengers on certain flights to India will be greeted with delightful Thandai beverages and an array of sweet Holi treats, enhancing their travel experience with the essence of this joyful festival.
With a longstanding relationship that stretches back 38 years, Emirates continues to strengthen its bond with India, underlined by this Holi celebration.

The airline currently operates 167 weekly flights to nine destinations across India, facilitating seamless connections for countless travelers flying from Dubai and other parts of its extensive network to the Indian subcontinent. This initiative not only underscores Emirates' commitment to the Indian market but also pays homage to the rich cultural ties that link it with the country.
Passengers flying to and from seven Indian cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai - are in for a treat. They will be served the much-adored Indian delicacy, Kesar Gujiya, alongside their main meal, regardless of it being breakfast, lunch, or dinner. This deep-fried dumpling, filled with solidified milk and dried fruits, will be presented in a box designed to reflect the vivacious spirit of Holi. Moreover, on the 14th of March, First and Business Class passengers will be offered a refreshing glass of Thandai - a traditional festive beverage made from milk and nuts, infused with saffron and rose petals, to welcome them onboard.
Engaging with the festive spirit, customers can immerse themselves in up to 180 Indian films, encompassing new releases, timeless Bollywood classics, and regional cinema. Among the highlights are recent blockbusters like "Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire", "Patna Shuklla", and "Shaitaan", adding to the entertainment quotient of the flight. Additionally, a special collection from Yash Raj Films, known as Bollywood's 'father of romance', will be available. The airline's entertainment selection is rounded off with a variety of Indian TV shows and over 40 albums and playlists, featuring popular tracks from Spotify playlists such as Desi Hits, Desi Pop, and Desi Hip Hop Mixtape.
This initiative by Emirates to celebrate Holi on its flights to India not only demonstrates the airline's appreciation of Indian culture but also adds a memorable touch to the travel experience of its customers. It reflects Emirates' commitment to offering culturally rich and diverse experiences, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination itself.
