EarthSoul Festival Partners With NGOs To Plant Thousand Mangroves In Dubai

In a significant move towards promoting environmental sustainability, EarthSoul Festival has partnered with The Storey Group and Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) to announce the establishment of EarthSoul Fest Forest. This initiative is set to plant 1,000 mangrove trees in the UAE, marking a substantial step in supporting global reforestation and habitat protection efforts. This collaboration seeks not only to combat environmental challenges but also to heighten awareness about the critical need for conservation, carbon emission reduction, and global reforestation.

The festival, organized by Orbit Events and scheduled for May 4th, 2024, at the Coca-Cola Arena, will feature the international superstar Jason Derulo. Known for his dynamic performances and hit tracks such as "Want To Want Me" and "Savage Love," Derulo is expected to bring his unique energy and charm to the event. Alongside him, a varied lineup of artists including Shae Gill from Pakistan, the hip-hop duo Young Stunners, Emirati Soul singer Arqam, and the emerging talent Celinedee Matahari will perform, each committing to spread the message of environmental consciousness through their music.

Ms. Pragna Vaya, Managing Director at Orbit Events, expressed pride in the festival's role in advocating for climate change awareness and fostering a culture of eco-consciousness. "The mangrove tree planting initiative," she noted, "symbolizes our commitment to leaving a lasting positive impact on the planet for future generations." Karen Storey, Founder and CEO of The Storey Group, also highlighted the urgency of addressing climate change and the shared goal of promoting sustainability and a greener future through this partnership.

The UAE's selection as the location for the mangrove forest initiative underscores the region's potential in fostering biodiversity and sustainability. The involvement of EcoMatcher's innovative technology further enhances this effort, offering a transparent and interactive way for festival attendees to contribute to the mangrove planting initiative through a simple QR code scan.

The festival not only aims to plant 1,000 mangroves in its first edition but also plans to expand these efforts in the future. Mangroves are celebrated for their ability to sequester carbon and support diverse ecosystems, making this initiative a crucial part of broader environmental sustainability efforts. Attendees of the festival are directly contributing to these efforts, with a portion of the ticket proceeds dedicated to environmental protection and reforestation.

In addition to the main event, EarthSoul Fest is organizing a pre-event beach clean-up on May 3rd, 2024, near the Hassyan Coal Power Plant Security, Jebel Ali. This initiative is designed to further engage the community in environmental stewardship, encouraging participants to adopt more sustainable lifestyles and actively participate in making a tangible difference.

Tickets for the event are available on coca-cola-arena.com, Platinumlist, and Virgin Tickets. For more details on how to be part of this green initiative, visit www.earthsoulfestival.com or follow EarthSoul Fest on Instagram (@earthsoulfest) for the latest updates and announcements.
