As summer holidays continue, students, parents, and teachers can start preparing for the new academic year. From 5 August, Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2024 is offering fantastic Back to School deals at top brands across the city, making it easier to get organised without overspending.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), these offers include discounts on trendy clothes, shoes, backpacks, electronics, and other school essentials. Additionally, shoppers have the chance to win significant cash prizes through various raffles and scholarships.

Dubai's beloved character Modesh is giving away educational grants worth Dh500,000 as part of DSS surprises this year. From 5-29 August, 25 winners will receive Dh20,000 each through the Modesh Scholarship. Registration is simple; spend AED 200 or more at participating malls like Ibn Battuta Mall and Circle Mall.

The Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) Back to School Raffle campaign offers prizes totalling AED 100,000. Twenty winners will each receive Dh5,000 by spending Dh200 from 5-28 August at 18 participating malls including Al Ghurair Centre and Arabian Center. The final draw will be on 29 August.

Virgin Megastore is offering special prices on electronics from 5-29 August. A Herschel bag bundle worth Dh249 includes a free Herschel flask. MacBook Air is available for Dh2,999 with a free Microsoft Office 365 Personal.

Amazon provides up to a 50 per cent discount on school essentials and tech gadgets from 1-31 August.

Shoe Mart has bundles of kids' shoes, backpacks, and socks starting at Dh189 from 5-11 August. Marks & Spencer offers Dh30 off spends of Dh150 or more on Back to School clothing from 5-29 August.

Shoexpress offers shoes, bags, and socks for just Dh159 from now until the end of the month. Mamas & Papas provide free gifts on spends of Dh300 on selected Citron items during this period as well.

Foot Locker has buy-two-get-one-free offers on sports shoes and other discounts for AURA users until the end of the month. Lucky Kids in Al Ghurair Centre offers up to a massive discount of up to 75 per cent off their entire range of shoes between now and then too!

K Corner provides up to a generous discount of up to 60 per cent off footwear and accessories until the end of the month as well! Emporio Armani's kidswear line offers up to half price off casual designs for young girls and boys at their Mall of Emirates store during this time too!
