In 2024, Dubai Sports World is more accessible than ever with a free-to-use gym open to everyone. The venue also features fun family activities like foosball and retro arcade games. Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, said that DSW has grown to become the region's leading summer community fitness event since its launch. It supports active lifestyles for the entire Dubai community and integrates both competitive and community-oriented activities.
Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre, emphasised inclusivity and accessibility in this year's edition. He said that they are dedicated to creating an exceptional environment that promotes health and well-being while building strong bonds through sports and physical activity.
Dale Ellis, former NBA All-Star and three-point shooting champion, praised Dubai's hospitality and prosperity during his first visit to the city. He highlighted the importance of events like DSW in nurturing young talent and providing a platform for aspiring athletes to develop their skills. Ellis will collaborate with Never Quit Stay Fit and TAAL Sports for an exciting summer camp experience for young athletes at DSW.
DSW is committed to being fully accessible for people of all abilities in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council and strategic partners such as academies and sporting brands. This year's edition offers more opportunities than ever for residents and visitors alike to focus on their health, fitness and wellbeing.
The weekend features an Academy Day on Saturday with family-friendly activities tailored for parents and children aged 4 to 14.
