Dubai Gears Up For 6th Edition Of MMDE Thrissur Pooram With Rich Cultural Events

Dubai is gearing up for an extraordinary cultural event as MMDE Thrissur Pooram makes a grand return to the Etisalat Academy.

Scheduled for December 1 and 2, this festival promises to be its largest edition yet. It will showcase Kerala's rich traditions through performances and rituals, and introduce a 40-foot Poora Panthal, creating an authentic Pooram experience in Dubai.

The festival kicks off on December 1 with free entry for all, welcoming families and culture enthusiasts to immerse themselves in a day filled with traditional art forms and entertainment. Organisers recommend arriving early to avoid traffic and to not miss the day's spectacular events.

December 2: Ticket Details and Offers

Tickets for December 2 are available on Platinumlist.net, though Phase 1 has already sold out. Phase 2 is selling fast, and organisers urge attendees to secure their tickets soon.

Once the venue reaches capacity, ticket sales will cease. Special promotions include a Buy 3 Get 1 Free offer and the 'Gang of 10' package, which includes a AED200 discount. Children under 10 can attend for free.

For easier access, a complimentary shuttle service will operate between Etisalat Academy and E& Metro Station as well as Centrepoint Metro Station. This will help attendees reach the venue smoothly and enjoy the festivities.

Exciting Performances and Notable Guests

This edition marks a significant cultural moment as Padma Shri Mattannoor Sankarankutty Marar and Padma Shri Jayaram perform together for the first time outside Kerala. Actor Jayaram and his wife, actress Parvati, will also be present on both days, adding to the special atmosphere.

Festivalgoers can look forward to an amazing Chenda Melam performance by Paramekkavu Abhishek, Kerala's youngest Panchari Melam artist. The night will also feature live concerts by Job Kurian and Sayanora, ending with an exhilarating DJ finale.

The festival captures the essence of Thrissur Pooram with events like Madathil Varavu Panchavadyam, Ilanjithara Melam led by Kizhakkoott Aniyan Marar, and more. The event will also include robotic elephants, colourful processions, and impressive lighting and sound design, turning Etisalat Academy into a unique Pooram venue in the UAE.
