Dubai Fitness Challenge: ASICS NOVABLAST™ 5 With Enhanced Comfort Released

Dubai Fitness Challenge is just around the corner and ASICS has just unveiled the NOVABLAST™ 5, the newest addition to its popular bounce category of running shoes, setting new standards in comfort and energy return for runners. This model stands out due to its incorporation of innovative lightweight materials and the debut of ASICS' novel midsole technology, promising an enhanced running journey.

The introduction of FF BLAST™ MAX foam in the NOVABLAST™ 5, first seen in the GLIDERIDE™ MAX, marks a significant advancement in the shoe's design, increasing bounce properties by 8.5% over its predecessor. This makes the NOVABLAST™ 5 the sole ambassador of the complete FF BLAST™ MAX technology midsole within ASICS' current lineup. The shoe's upper has also undergone a transformation for better comfort, featuring an Engineered Jacquard mesh that improves breathability. Moreover, the tongue's design, borrowed from the SUPERBLAST™ series, incorporates a gusseted wing construction, ensuring a secure fit and instilling confidence during runs.

Yosuke Atarashi, ASICS' Senior Designer of Footwear and the lead designer of the NOVABLAST™ 5, shared insights into the design process, "We approached the design and structure of the NOVABLAST™ 5 shoe in a way that would allow the FF BLAST™ MAX to show its full potential for the consumer. Visually, we wanted the design to mimic the wearer's dynamic experience and underfoot feeling as they run in this latest version of the NOVABLAST™ line." The shoe retains its distinctive geometric midsole design, a hallmark since its inception, which creates an illusion of movement and depth, heightening the visual experience as one moves.

The NOVABLAST™ 5 further builds upon the successful foundation laid by its predecessors by enhancing the midsole and outsole. These improvements contribute to an even more energetic, bouncy, and comfortable experience, highlighted by a new pod-like groove in the forefoot that amplifies the springy sensation, propelling runners forward with each step.
