Exciting Gola Festival At Dhaba Lane: A Nostalgic Summer Celebration Of Icy Treats In Dubai
As summer arrives, so does the anticipation for one of the most beloved icy treats in desi culture – the 'gola'. This season, however, it comes with a unique twist at Dhaba Lane, the city’s most-wanted spot for Punjabi cuisine.
They are introducing the 'Gola Festival', offering a chilled blast from the past with an array of flavors that promise a delightful trip down memory lane. Available throughout the summer season across their four locations in JLT, Karama, Garhoud, and Al Nahda in Dubai, this festival is set to be a nostalgic celebration.

At the heart of the festival is a commitment to evoke childhood memories with a taste of nostalgia in every bite. Dhaba Lane aims to recreate those joyful summer moments with a selection of icy golas that resonate with the essence of old-school India.
The festival features an assortment of flavors, including the likes of Pan Pasand and Limca Cola, among other retro favorites, set to whisk you away to simpler times with just the mention of "baraf ka gola".
The festival showcases a variety of 'fusion golas', ingeniously combining traditional flavors with a contemporary twist, all priced at AED 30. These innovative creations include intriguing combinations such as Melody Chocolate, Mango Mastani Bite, and the ever-popular Kala Khatta and Kaccha Aam. For those who prefer sticking to the classics, Dhaba Lane also offers 'OG flavours' like maple, strawberry, mango, and blue curacao, among others, for AED 25.
Each gola is meticulously crafted with finely shaved ice, drenched in tangy and fruity syrups, embodying the essence of carefree summer days, school holidays, and the nostalgia of enjoying a refreshing treat on the streets. These flavours not only promise a sensory delight but also a journey back to childhood summers filled with joy and laughter.
Executive Chef Harangad Singh, the visionary behind this summertime celebration, shared his inspiration, stating, "If you grew up in India, chances are you've had a gola (or chuski, baraf ka gola, whatever you called it back in the day!). Those rainbow-hued, syrup-drenched ice lollies were summer memories frozen on a stick. Now, Dhaba Lane is taking that magic and giving it a grown-up remix without losing the childlike joy."
This festival not only aims to offer a taste of nostalgia but also to reinvent childhood favorites with a matured flavour profile, ensuring that the charm of the gola is preserved while offering something new to the adult palate.
