Starting from June 2024 and extending until August, this campaign is designed to bolster the efficiency of electricity and water use among the community during the high-demand summer months. The initiative not only aims to enlighten residents about their consumption patterns but also acquaints them with DEWA’s advanced digital solutions for monitoring and managing utility usage effectively.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, underscored the importance of such initiatives, especially in 2024, which continues to be recognized as the Year of Sustainability in the UAE. “We launch innovative initiatives and programs to introduce individuals and organizations to ways to support sustainability and reduce the carbon footprint, informing them of the importance of their effective participation in sustainable development and achieving net zero,” he stated. This reflects DEWA's commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to empower the community in mitigating global warming impacts and fostering a sustainable future.

The campaign features a series of educational endeavors, including lectures, competitions, and interactive activities, aimed at raising awareness about DEWA's digital offerings. These resources are designed to enable customers to optimize their electricity and water usage through informed decision-making, thereby promoting sustainable living habits. Virtual lectures are also part of the campaign, further broadening its reach and impact.

DEWA’s website and smart application serve as gateways to several resourceful tools for customers. The Smart Living dashboard is a notable feature that allows users to keep tabs on their utility consumption, offering insights through annual, monthly, and daily reports. Additionally, the 'My Sustainable Living Programme’ offers a comparative analysis of a customer's utility usage against that of similar efficient households in the vicinity. The 'Away Mode’ feature and Self-Assessment tool further augment this digital suite, enabling users to manage their consumption remotely and self-evaluate their utility usage patterns, respectively.
