Celebrate City Centre Bahrain's 'Be A Light' Initiative this Ramadan

City Centre Bahrain extends a warm invitation to the local community for participation in its annual 'Be a Light' campaign, now in its third year. By fostering a culture of kindness and positivity, City Centre Bahrain aims to contribute meaningfully to the community during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

This year, the campaign takes a unique approach by focusing on "The power of words" and their significant influence. Hosted at the Central Galleria, the initiative presents an artistic exploration of how words can motivate, elevate, and bring people together.

A special projection installation allows visitors to experience the impact of positive language firsthand, with uplifting words illuminating the surroundings and inspiring participants to consider the effects of their spoken words on themselves and those around them.

This engaging and thought-provoking experience is designed to foster compassion and kindness among the mall's visitors, embodying the campaign's core message of spreading light and positivity throughout the community.

City Centre Bahrain Celebrates Ramadan with Kindness

The 'Be a Light' movement was officially inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Ms. Inas Al Majed, the Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, highlighting City Centre Bahrain's dedication to uplifting the local community through positive initiatives and values. The collaboration with the Ministry underscores the campaign's significance and its alignment with broader efforts to promote social well-being and development in Bahrain.

In addition to the 'Be a Light' campaign, City Centre Bahrain is embracing local traditions by hosting a Gergaon celebration on March 13. Gergaon, an important cultural event in Bahrain and the Gulf region, occurs on the 14th night of Ramadan and features children dressed in traditional attire, going from house to house to collect sweets while singing traditional songs.

By bringing the magic of Gergaon to the mall, City Centre Bahrain aims to create a festive and joyful atmosphere for families and children, offering a range of activities including traditional songs, quizzes, competitions, and delightful gifts for children, ensuring a memorable experience for all attendees.

Mall Director Duaij Al Rumaihi expressed pride in carrying forward initiatives that reflect the spirit of Ramadan and resonate with Bahraini traditions and values. "Ramadan is a time for coming together, reflecting, and spreading kindness, and we are honoured to carry forward initiatives that resonate so deeply with Bahraini traditions and values. Through our 'Be a Light' campaign and cherished Gergaon celebration, we aim to create moments of joy and togetherness for all segments of the community. The immersive word projection installation also offers visitors an opportunity to come together and reflect on mindfulness and kindness, integral values of both Ramadan and Bahraini culture."
