Danube Group's Special Initiative For 400 Blue-Collar Workers In Dubai For This Special Sporting Event
As the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaches, excitement builds within the UAE, especially among the blue-collar workforce. Anis Sajan, known as 'Mr. Cricket UAE’ and Vice Chairman of Danube Group, has launched a commendable initiative to allow these workers to witness the thrill of live cricket matches.
By distributing 400 tickets as part of the company's corporate social responsibility initiatives, Sajan ensures that these cricket enthusiasts, who otherwise could not afford to attend due to high ticket prices, get to fulfill their dream of watching the games in person.

The selection of workers to receive these tickets was carried out through a fair process. A lucky draw determined which of the workers would have the opportunity to attend one of the four major matches of the tournament, ensuring every interested individual had an equal chance.
The focus was on workers from cricket-loving nations such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India, yet maintaining a diverse representation. The matches selected for attendance include some of the most eagerly awaited contests, like Bangladesh vs. India and India vs. Pakistan, among others, making this gesture even more significant for the chosen workers.
Anis Sajan shared his motivation behind this generous act, stating, "Cricket is more than just a sport; it is an emotion that unites people across borders. Many of our blue-collar workers are devoted cricket fans, but the high ticket prices and overwhelming demand make attending a live match a distant dream for them. They work tirelessly to support our company, and this initiative is my way of giving back. Watching their cricketing idols live in action will be an unforgettable experience. My goal is simple: to bring joy and show appreciation for their dedication."
He further lamented that he could only accommodate 400 workers, wishing he could have included more.
Considering the duration of a 50-over match, Danube Group has taken steps to ensure the workers' comfort throughout the day. Since stadium regulations prevent attendees from bringing their own food and water, the company has arranged for early lunch food packets to be distributed on the bus ride to the venue.
Additionally, during match breaks, workers will receive coupons to purchase snacks and water, with food packets again provided for the journey back home after the match concludes.
For those unable to secure a spot at the stadium, a special screening will be held at the warehouse, creating an engaging atmosphere for workers to enjoy the match together. This initiative highlights Sajan's commitment to his employees and his passion for cricket, ensuring that the workforce does not miss out on the excitement of the tournament.
