This November, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort is set to host Chef Bongkoch "Bee" Satongun, a renowned figure in Asian cuisine, for a unique gastronomic event.

The Bangkok-born chef, celebrated for her innovative approach to Thai cooking, will join forces with Dilmah Tea to offer guests a weekend filled with distinctive dining experiences.

Anantara Dubai Welcomes Chef Bee for Tea Pairing

Each meal crafted by Chef Bee will be meticulously paired with a Dilmah tea selection, aiming to amplify the dish's flavors and aromas.

Chef Bee, the driving force behind the Michelin-starred Paste Bangkok from 2018 to 2023, is acclaimed for her fusion of historical insights and modern culinary techniques.

Her research into ancient recipes and royal cookbooks has allowed her to preserve Thai culinary traditions while infusing them with contemporary flair.

Recognized as Asia's Best Female Chef in 2018 by the World's 50 Best Restaurants, she has garnered international praise alongside her husband and business partner, Jason Bailey. They strive to elevate Thai cuisine from its perceived simplicity to a sophisticated and intricate culinary art form.

The culinary journey begins on Friday, 21 November, at Mekong, where guests can indulge in a family-style sharing menu curated by Chef Bee.

The menu will highlight unique flavors and techniques, featuring dishes like hor mok souffle with crab and kang kua scallop curry.

Each course will be accompanied by a specially selected Dilmah Ceylon tea, creating a cohesive and immersive dining experience that celebrates Thai food and tea craftsmanship.

On the subsequent day, Saturday, 22 November, the Fork & Cork Brunch at the resort will feature a special live station by Chef Bee.

This exclusive opportunity allows guests to witness the celebrated chef in action, tasting her aromatic dishes paired with bespoke Dilmah tea blends.

This afternoon event promises a memorable experience for diners seeking to explore the intricacies of Thai cuisine and tea pairing.

Mekong, with its elegant décor inspired by the countries along its namesake river, offers the perfect setting for Chef Bee's culinary showcase.

The restaurant's ambiance, characterized by dark wood, soft lantern light, and cozy corners, complements the rich and memorable tastes Chef Bee is known to create.

Dominic Petzold, the Executive Chef at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, stated, "This is a rare and exciting moment. Chef Bee is a master of her craft. Her work represents a culinary tradition that is centuries old, yet she renders it with such clarity and modern grace. Paired with the exceptional teas from globally renowned family tea business Dilmah, this will be a one-of-a-kind experience for Dubai's dining community."

Guests are invited to join Chef Bee at Mekong on Friday, 21 November, from 6:00 pm to 11:30 pm, for an unforgettable evening priced at AED 375 per person.

The gourmet celebration continues on Saturday, 22 November, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Crescendo, with prices starting from AED 450 per person. This weekend offers diners an unparalleled opportunity to delve into the world of Thai cuisine and masterful tea pairings.
