From Dreamer To Do'er, Here's How Amina Suman Is Coaching Dreams Into Reality
While it's true that life doesn't come with a guidebook, it is often possible to gain some guidance and help on the way there. Many a times, adequate coaching and mentoring from a solid, reliable source can convert many of our problems into solutions. It will enable us to become stronger, more confident individuals who can make something of ourselves through the challenges thrown our way.
Twenty-five-year-old Amina Suman is an individual who has learnt the power of personal coaching early on. Despite having a background in accountancy, her journey of overcoming obstacles and becoming her own paradigm of strength and assertiveness has helped her bring others with her on this journey.

On her Biggest Source of Inspiration
"My greatest inspiration was the moment when I realised how incapable I had become to have anything I wanted. Not an easy thing to say, but honestly, my drive came from the complete realization of my incapacity and disappointment in myself. This happened 5 years ago." Amina said, thinking back to the beginning of it all. "From the time I remember, I had always been someone with a lot of dreams and aspirations of what I want to be in life. However, as time went by and life happened, I found that I had completely lost touch with who I really was. The wake-up call and my inspiration to change came in the form of my family. My world is quite small; my mom, My husband, two younger sisters and my granny."
"I believe that if you don't feel the urge to be better and do better in your life just by taking one look at your family and realising how much you want to do for them, then you would have a hard time finding this "Inspiration" anywhere else in the world."
On her Experience Interviewing Multiple Women of Impact on her Podcast
"I have had the honour to interview some of the biggest women entrepreneurs in Kerala, and surprisingly, majority of them are mothers." Amina said, referencing her programs tailor-made for women. "My mom, Nishitha, is an entrepreneur herself. Since the time I was 18, I have created opportunities for myself to work with women entrepreneurs who inspire me. I would acquire new skills every other month and get on their team to learn about who they are rather than their ultra successful businesses."
"I think this experience I had at such a young age--being around women creating an impact with their work being ultra successful financially--is what gave me the knowledge about the inner juice of growth and success for women." She said, "Therefore, when I decided to start my own business in the coaching industry, it was clear to me about what I wanted to do and what problems I wanted to solve. I strongly believe that the female population is still a goldmine of untapped multi-dimensional potential and my mission is to help women claim ownership over this potential through my programs."
On the Qualities Required to Go From a Dreamer to a Do'er
- "Brutal honesty with yourself: The guts to accept the bad and the ugly you see when you look at yourself in the mirror.
- Unshakable courage: Once you come face-to-face with the truth about your incapacities, it is only courage that will help your keep one foot in front of the other and walk in this world to make something of yourself.
- Total disregard for judgement and societal expectations: Being a slave of the society and people-pleasing will keep you stunted in your journey. Breaking free from these in every sense of the word is the only way to become a DO'er."
On What She Had to Give Up to Become the Best Version of Herself
She thought about this for a bit, "Anything that has to be given up on the journey to becoming one with who you are completely was not meant to be a part of your life in the first place. Therefore, I look at it as plucking out weeds from a garden for it to bloom in its full glory."
