Amazon has announced that its annual Prime Day sales event will take place on July 16 and 17, starting at 12.01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time for US customers. The event will feature exclusive deals and invite-only offers for Prime members. In addition to the US, Amazon is hosting Prime Day sales in over 20 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the UK.
The company plans to hold Prime Day in India later this year.
Invite-only deals return
This year's event will see the return of invite-only deals for Prime subscribers. Members can request invitations from a product page by clicking a new button next to "Add to cart." Those selected for sale on an item will receive an email with instructions on how to purchase it.
Early deals for Prime members
Amazon is already offering some early deals for its Prime members. Users who have not yet tried Amazon Music Unlimited can get five months of subscription for free. Additionally, the company is providing a three-month trial of its new grocery service with unlimited deliveries on orders above $35 through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market.
In conclusion, last year's Prime Day was successful for Amazon as US shoppers spent $12.7 billion during the event—a 6.1% increase compared to 2022—according to Adobe Analytics data. Furthermore, analytics firm Numerator reported that the average order size rose from $52.26 to $54.05.
