Aljada's East Boulevard In Sharjah Unveils 87 New Dining And Retail Outlets
Arada, a prominent real estate developer, has recently enhanced the Aljada megaproject in Sharjah with the addition of 87 new dining and retail outlets at East Boulevard, turning it into a dynamic social hub within the AED35 billion development. This expansion has significantly increased the open leasable space by 80% to 130,000 square feet, offering a spacious and tree-lined avenue for an optimal customer experience.
The introduction of these outlets includes a mix of both international favourites and local delights. Notably, Berenjak, known for its Persian home-cooked cuisine that has captivated London's Soho, and Home Bakery, a beloved café and dining concept, have opened their doors in Sharjah for the first time. Similarly, La Brioche and TBK have chosen Aljada for their Sharjah debut, with TBK expanding from Dubai and Pickl introducing its famed burgers to the locale.

Further enriching the culinary landscape, upcoming outlets such as Rang, Chef Eyad, the Late Lounge coffee shop, and Mara Lounge are set to open, joining a diverse mix of existing food and beverage brands like Bosporus, Five Guys, and Starbucks. Complementing these are a variety of shops and services, including Spinneys, Carrefour, and the Maple Bear Nursery, ensuring a comprehensive lifestyle and shopping experience.
Ahmed Alkhoshaibi, Group CEO of Arada, highlighted the expansion's role in reinforcing Aljada as Sharjah's most vibrant community and its contribution to the emirate's economic growth. The high commercial demand for retail space has allowed Arada to curate an optimal mix of outlets for both residents and visitors, emphasizing the project's appeal.
In 2023, East Boulevard attracted 2.4 million visitors, a figure expected to rise with the new openings and the completion of over 7,500 homes within Aljada. The development boasts a wide range of amenities, including the SABIS International School-Aljada, a flagship Wellfit gym, the Zad food truck park, and the Aljada Skate Park, all set amidst extensive green spaces.
Aljada's master plan, which spans over a 24 million square foot area, positions it as Sharjah's largest project and a transformative destination. With an anticipated population of 70,000 upon completion and a catchment area extending to northern Dubai, the development underscores the importance of retail, leisure, and entertainment. The Madar central district alone offers around 1.2 million square feet of leasable space, with plans to award the main contract for Madar Mall in 2024, further expanding Aljada's commercial and lifestyle offerings.
