Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts School Set To Open In November 2025 On Jubail Island
The Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) school is set to open in November 2025 on Jubail Island, Abu Dhabi. This initiative, guided by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, will be the fifth global institution devoted to classical horsemanship. It joins esteemed schools in Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France.
ADREA spans 65,000 square metres and is designed as a comprehensive environment for preserving and teaching haute école equestrian art. The estate prioritises a horse-first approach in its design and training methods. This ensures comfort and harmony between horse and rider while maintaining high standards of care.
The facility includes a climate-controlled arena with seating for 1,200 spectators. It also features 60 air-conditioned stables with advanced monitoring systems. Additionally, there are veterinary facilities, a rehabilitation clinic, training arenas, and shaded riding tracks to provide optimal conditions for horses and athletes.
ADREA offers cultural spaces that preserve equestrian knowledge for future generations. The Furussiya Gallery showcases rare artefacts that trace the history of horsemanship across various civilisations. Furthermore, the school houses one of the world's largest equestrian libraries with over 10,000 volumes to inspire learning.
Education is central at ADREA, starting from the Junior Academy to a four-year Rider Degree programme. These accredited pathways cater to young riders at every development stage. Children of Determination are also welcomed into programmes that foster discipline, perseverance, and artistry.
The UAE's first equestrian saddle-making atelier will be part of ADREA. This atelier aims to revive and enhance craftsmanship at an advanced level. By focusing on artisanal skills alongside educational programmes, ADREA seeks to nurture a new generation within a philosophy of discipline and artistry.
ADREA's establishment reflects a commitment to preserving classical horsemanship while fostering new talent. Through its comprehensive facilities and educational offerings, it aims to inspire future generations in the art of equestrianism.
