ADMAF And Dolce&Gabbana Announce Finalists For Prestigious 2024 Design Award

The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF), in collaboration with the luxury fashion brand Dolce&Gabbana, has unveiled the finalists of the ADMAF x Dolce&Gabbana Design Award 2024. This prestigious accolade is dedicated to nurturing the creative prowess of young talents from the UAE, encouraging them to pay homage to their cultural heritage through innovative design. The award targets university students who are either currently enrolled or have recently graduated.

In the fashion category, the spotlight falls on Azza Rashed Al Suwaidi, Maryam Omar Bin Ghaleb Alfalasi, and Muna Saqer AlMatrooshi for their exceptional design submissions. Meanwhile, the jewellery segment has seen Sarah AlMansoori, Muhra Darwish AlBlooshi, and Alia Alzaabi emerge as the distinguished finalists. Each category's winner will be endowed with a unique opportunity to refine their skills and bring their designs to fruition through an internship in Italy. Their final creations are set to be exhibited during the Abu Dhabi Festival 2025.

Jury of Esteemed Personalities

The award recipients and finalists will be honoured by a jury comprised of internationally renowned figures. The panel includes Stefano Galli, representing Dolce&Gabbana's Alta Moda Senior VIP relations; Asma Al Fahim, Chairwoman of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council and founder of Villa 88 magazine; and Roberto La Lacona, Director of the Marangoni Institute UAE. Esteemed Emirati artists also on the jury are Azza al Qubaisi, renowned for her work in jewelry, product design, and sculpture; Ahmad Al Areef Al Dhaheri, a multidisciplinary artist; and Sultan al Darmaki, a fashion designer. Completing the jury are H.E. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, the founder of ADMAF, alongside representatives from Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda.

This initiative by ADMAF and Dolce&Gabbana underscores a significant commitment towards fostering the growth of creative talent within the UAE. It not only offers young designers an invaluable platform to showcase their skills but also ensures that the rich cultural heritage of the UAE is celebrated and integrated into contemporary design.
