BAPS Hindu Mandir In Abu Dhabi Extends Eid Timings After Hitting Visitor Milestone
The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, heralded as the first traditional stone temple in the Middle East, has celebrated a significant milestone by welcoming its one-millionth visitor this week. This event marks a monumental achievement for the temple, emphasizing its role as a "spiritual oasis for global harmony" since its inauguration on February 14. The temple's achievement, celebrated on June 14, symbolizes a collective expression of a million prayers, hearts, hopes, and stories of love, peace, and harmony shared by its visitors over the past 100 days.
The temple has rapidly become a beacon of cultural unity, attracting thousands of visitors from the UAE and beyond with its stunning sandstone architecture and spiritually enriching ambiance. As a place that resonates with diverse groups, it stands as a testament to peace and harmony, welcoming everyone with open arms.
With the upcoming Eid Al Adha holidays, the temple is preparing for an anticipated increase in visitor numbers. To ensure a smooth experience for everyone, the temple's spokesperson has emphasized the importance of pre-registration through the temple's booking platform. During the Eid holiday, the temple will adjust its opening hours to accommodate visitors from 8 am to 9 pm.
Visitors planning to visit during the holiday period are strongly encouraged to register on the temple's website to select their preferred date and time slot. The temple, which is open from Tuesday to Sunday and closed on Mondays, aims to provide an organized experience for all worshippers. "Please note that any individual or group visiting the Mandir without prior registration during the Eid holiday period will be subject to approval for entry based on prevailing conditions at that time," the temple advised, highlighting the necessity of advance registration.
To further facilitate the expected surge in visitors, a limited-stop public bus service, number 203, has been made available. This service operates between the central bus station and the temple in Abu Mureikha, off the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway, offering a convenient transport solution for those planning their visit.
The BAPS Hindu Mandir's growing popularity among devotees and tourists alike underscores its significance as a symbol of cultural and spiritual unity. Beyond serving as a mere place of worship, the temple emerges as a pillar of community and harmony, seamlessly blending tradition with modernity and welcoming individuals from all walks of life.
