Dubai's Acclaimed 3 Fils Japanese Eatery To Open In Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is set to welcome Dubai's renowned Japanese eatery, 3 Fils, at the Abu Dhabi EDITION in Al Bateen Marina later this year. This popular spot, known for its casual vibe and no-reservations policy, offers a variety of Asian small plates, fresh seafood, sushi, and a must-try Wagyu burger.
Since opening in 2016, 3 Fils has gained a dedicated following. It was named Homegrown Restaurant of the Year at the What's On Dubai Awards in 2017. The restaurant's founders include two Emiratis and Singaporean chef Akmal Anuar. Anuar has since moved on to other ventures, leaving Freddy Kazadi in charge of the kitchen.
The new Abu Dhabi location will span three floors and include two terraces with stunning views of the marina and Arabian Gulf. "Expanding to Abu Dhabi is a natural progression for us," said Ahmed Abdul Hakim, founder of 3 Fils. "We are excited about Lab Holding's new venture and bringing our distinctive dining experience to a new audience."
In addition to its local accolades, 3 Fils was recognised as the best restaurant in the Middle East at the inaugural MENA 50 Best Restaurants awards in 2022. It also received a prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2023.
The restaurant's journey from Jumeirah Fishing Harbour to Abu Dhabi marks an exciting chapter. The founders aim to redefine Abu Dhabi's culinary scene just as they have done in Dubai. "Our goal is to redefine the culinary landscape in Abu Dhabi," said Abdul Hakim.
With its unique offerings and prime location, 3 Fils Abu Dhabi promises to be a significant addition to the city's dining options. The restaurant's blend of casual dining and high-quality food has already proven successful in Dubai.
The move to Abu Dhabi reflects the growing popularity of 3 Fils and its commitment to expanding its reach while maintaining its core values. The new location aims to attract both locals and visitors looking for an exceptional dining experience.
Overall, the expansion of 3 Fils into Abu Dhabi signifies a promising development for food enthusiasts in the region. The restaurant's reputation for excellence is expected to draw significant attention and patronage.
