RB Mary Lylah Triumphs At UAE President’s Cup For Purebred Arabian Horses In Türkiye
RB Mary Lylah, representing Wathnan Racing, triumphed in the UAE President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses at İstanbul’s Veliefendi Racecourse on September 7, 2025. This event marked the 12th stop of the series' 32nd edition. The race is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aiming to elevate the status of Purebred Arabian horses globally.
The five-year-old mare, trained by Albain de Mieulle and ridden by Daniel Tudhope, excelled over a 1,600-meter distance. Competing against Türkiye's top studs, she claimed victory with a USD 250,000 prize — the largest in Türkiye's Purebred Arabian racing history. Her time was 1:46:91, finishing seven lengths ahead of Katı Zamanı and Kralkarınca.

The UAE President’s Cup Series aims to enhance the global presence of Purebred Arabian horses on leading racecourses. The Istanbul Horse Festival featured this race as a key highlight, showcasing its importance among Arabian horse owners and breeders in Türkiye. The event was attended by Saeed Thani Hareb Al Dhaheri and Faisal Al Rahmani.
Musallam Al Amri from the Higher Organising Committee expressed pride in the UAE President’s Cup races' global value and reputation. He noted that the success and warm reception in Türkiye reflect leadership's commitment to supporting Arabian horse owners worldwide. This support ensures the breed's elevated status in international racing.
