Discover How Diriyah Gate And Golf Saudi Are Elevating Sports Offerings In Line With Sustainability
In a significant move to bolster Saudi Arabia's golfing landscape, The Diriyah Company has announced a pivotal partnership with Golf Saudi. Together, they will oversee the operations of the newly constructed Wadi Safar Signature Golf Course and the Royal Golf Club. These facilities are poised to become key attractions within the expansive Diriyah development, located on the outskirts of Riyadh.
Designed by golfing legend Greg Norman, the Wadi Safar Signature Golf Course stretches over 630,000 square meters. It boasts a championship 18-hole course, a 9-hole academy course, a driving range, and areas for short game practice.

This development not only enriches the golfing experience minutes away from the UNESCO World Heritage site of At-Turaif but also integrates luxury and sustainability into the cultural fabric of Diriyah. The completion of this project marks a leap forward in presenting Diriyah as a premium destination that merges top-tier recreational facilities with its rich heritage and natural allure.
During the event, Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, and Noah Alireza, CEO of Golf Saudi, shared their vision for this collaboration. Inzerillo said, “This partnership with Golf Saudi marks an exciting new chapter in Diriyah's journey to becoming a global cultural and lifestyle destination. The Wadi Safar Signature Golf Course and Royal Golf Club perfectly embody our vision of blending world-class experiences with the heritage and natural beauty of Diriyah. Together, we are not only raising the bar for golf tourism but also reinforcing Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 ambitions to establish the Kingdom as a leader in sustainable, inclusive, and iconic developments.”
Alireza echoed this sentiment. “We're thrilled to collaborate with Diriyah Company on this landmark project. Wadi Safar represents an extraordinary addition to the Kingdom's golfing venues. Together, we are setting a new standard for golf tourism, enhancing Saudi Arabia's profile in the global sports and leisure market while championing the values of sustainability and cultural heritage.”
Golf Saudi’s role as the official operator underscores its commitment to leveraging its expertise to make Wadi Safar a leading figure in the Kingdom’s burgeoning golf scene. This initiative is aligned with Vision 2030's goals, aiming to draw both global and regional attention to Saudi Arabia's enriched sporting landscape and cultural offerings.
With a focus on sustainability, cultural heritage, and premier sporting facilities, this partnership is set to make significant strides in positioning Diriyah and the broader region as a top-tier destination for golf enthusiasts and tourists worldwide.
