Exclusive U.S. Rights To Bellator Champions Series Acquired By Warner Bros. Discovery
The Professional Fighters League (PFL) and Warner Bros. Discovery have recently unveiled an exclusive US media rights deal for the eagerly awaited Bellator Champion Series. This mixed martial arts championship is set to make its debut on Friday, March 22, and will be available for streaming exclusively on Max, Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming platform. This partnership promises to deliver all eight events of the series to Max subscribers, showcasing world-ranked fighters and featuring two title fights at each event.
The series is scheduled to commence at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and will span across various locations including Paris, Dublin, San Diego, London, Chicago, and a return to Paris. Additionally, TNT Sports will broadcast Bellator content throughout the year within the "TNT Sports on truTV" programming block. Max subscribers will also gain access to two new docuseries, "Fight Camp Confidential" and "Fight Week," offering an intimate look into the preparation of Bellator fighters ahead of their matches.

The inaugural event of the Bellator Champion Series will spotlight two title fights. In the main event, Corey Anderson is set to battle Karl Moore for the Bellator Light Heavyweight Title. Anderson aims to secure his position as a world champion for the third time, while Moore seeks to become Bellator's first Irish Champion. The co-main event features Patricio Pitbull defending his featherweight title against Jeremy Kennedy. Pitbull holds the distinction of being the only Bellator 4X World Champion and boasts several records within the promotion.
Moreover, Max subscribers will have the privilege of accessing Bellator's comprehensive library, which includes over 300 events and 3,000 fights alongside pre-fight, post-fight, and original programming. This extensive collection highlights legendary fighters such as Kimbo Slice, "Rampage" Jackson, and Fedor Emelianenko.
Peter Murray, CEO of the Professional Fighters League, expressed his enthusiasm about this partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, emphasizing the opportunity it presents to showcase top-tier MMA content globally. Josh Walker, Chief Financial & Strategy Officer of Warner Bros. Discovery Streaming, also remarked on the significance of adding Bellator content to their platform, enhancing their offering with highly anticipated MMA action.
The PFL stands as the second-largest MMA company worldwide and is recognized as the fastest-growing sports league. Unique in its sports-season format among MMA organizations, the PFL boasts a roster that includes fighters independently ranked in the top 25 of their weight classes globally. The league's vision extends beyond national borders as it aims to establish the "Champions League of MMA" through international leagues expansion and leads in technological innovation with its proprietary PFL SmartCage.
This collaboration between the PFL and Warner Bros. Discovery not only brings excitement to MMA enthusiasts but also ensures a year filled with high-quality MMA content through the Bellator Champion Series on Max. With a lineup of eight global events and exclusive access to engaging docuseries, fans are in for a treat with an extensive array of MMA action available at their fingertips.
