The selection process involved a comprehensive evaluation of 96 luxury and affordable vehicles, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric cars, SUVs, and trucks. Factors such as gas mileage, range data from the EPA, pricing information, and consensus opinions from the automotive press played a crucial role in determining the winners.

The S60 Recharge can travel up to 41 miles on electric power alone when fully charged and in Pure Mode.
Both models are equipped with an advanced infotainment system developed in collaboration with Google. This system integrates built-in Google Maps for navigation, offering a personalized and seamless driving experience. Volvo Cars' commitment to sustainability is evident in its goal to become a fully electric car maker by 2030 and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
