Volkswagen Reveals Enhanced Interior And Load Space For 2025 Transporter

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has recently unveiled further insights into the interior and load compartment of its anticipated new Transporter model, slated for an early 2025 release. This latest iteration of the iconic Transporter series promises a host of enhancements over its predecessors, including a more spacious and versatile load compartment. The vehicle boasts a maximum payload capacity of 1.33 tonnes and an impressive towing capability of up to 2.8 tonnes.

The interior of the new Transporter has undergone a complete overhaul, designed to provide a more spacious and functional workspace for its occupants. At the heart of this redesign is a new digital cockpit landscape, featuring a configurable 12-inch instrument panel alongside a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This modern setup aims to offer drivers a seamless and intuitive user experience.

Flexibility is a key theme with the new Transporter, which can be configured as a two-, three-, four-, five-, or six-seater vehicle. This adaptability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from commercial use to family outings. The load compartment has also seen significant improvements, with both length and width extended to allow for greater storage capacity. The standard-wheelbase version offers a load compartment volume of 5.8 cubic meters, while the long-wheelbase variant expands this capacity to 9.0 cubic meters.

Despite its increased size, the Transporter is designed to fit comfortably in standard multi-storey car parks, thanks to its sub-2.0 meter height. Additionally, its compact turning circle of just 11.8 meters ensures that it remains agile and easy to maneuver in tight spaces.

The vehicle's infotainment system is set to deliver an enhanced user experience with optional features such as navigation, online services, and a premium sound system. The interior also caters to the modern need for connectivity, offering multiple charging options including wireless charging for smartphones and USB ports for other devices.

In terms of pricing, the new Transporter will start at €36,780 ($40,548) for the panel van configuration and €39,130 ($43,112) for the dropside version with a double cab in Germany. Volkswagen has already initiated pre-sales of the vehicle, providing customers with a binding price guarantee ahead of its official launch.

This latest announcement from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles highlights the company's commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. By offering a more versatile, functional, and technologically advanced Transporter, Volkswagen aims to meet the evolving needs of its diverse customer base. As we approach its launch in early 2025, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be another successful addition to the Transporter lineage.
