UK Space Agency Calls For Entrepreneurs In Third Cohort Of Explore Programme

GLASGOW, SCOTLAND. April 9th, 2024 – The UK Space Agency Accelerator has officially announced the opening of applications for the third cohort of its Explore programme, starting from April 8th. This initiative, aimed at fostering new talent within the commercial space sector, is a collaborative effort involving key partners such as Entrepreneurial Spark, Exotopic, and supported by notable organizations including Frazer Nash Consultancy, Alden Legal, Satellite Finance Network, Deloitte, and Know Space.

Since its inception in 2021, the Explore programme has played a crucial role in the UK's space industry by assisting 63 out of 108 space entrepreneurs in turning their innovative ideas into viable businesses. The programme is now on the lookout for early-stage entrepreneurs who are prepared to embark on their journey into the commercial space sector.

The Explore programme offers a nine-week accelerator sprint designed specifically for individuals taking their initial steps in the space industry. It caters to inventors eager to develop scalable ventures and entrepreneurs from adjacent industries with ideas capable of revolutionizing the space sector. Participants will benefit from state-of-the-art business growth tools, personalized support from entrepreneurial growth experts, and a five-week action sprint that promises rapid progress.

Upon completion, cohort members will emerge with a comprehensive action plan and access to an extensive network to kickstart their space ventures. Portia Bircher, Business Support and Growth Manager at the UK Space Agency, expressed her excitement about the programme's third iteration. She highlighted the importance of continuous innovation within the UK space sector and commended the Explore programme for its role in nurturing new entrants to the industry.

This year's programme aims to support 30 entrepreneurs in realizing their potential within the space sector.
