Stellantis Rolls Out New Electric Van Line-Up With Cutting-Edge Features

Stellantis, the renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled a new fleet of electric vans across its diverse brands, including Citroen, Fiat Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall. This launch introduces a comprehensive range of 12 models tailored to meet various segment needs, highlighting increased range, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and enhanced connectivity features. The company's ambitious goal is to ensure all new vans are connected by the end of 2023, with plans to roll out over-the-air updates starting from 2026. This initiative is a significant component of Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, aiming to generate €5 billion ($5.9 billion) in revenue from connected services.

The latest offerings from Stellantis not only emphasize eco-friendly propulsion but also introduce several technological advancements. Citroen's LCVs now feature Advanced Comfort seats, while Fiat Professional's E-Ducato model boasts a 30% increase in range over its predecessor. Opel and Vauxhall have incorporated the Intelli-Lux LED Matrix Light systems into their designs, and Peugeot has enhanced its vehicles with the sophisticated i-Cockpit. These innovations underscore Stellantis' commitment to achieving global leadership in the commercial vehicle sector by 2027 and fulfilling the objectives set out in its strategic plan.

New Stellantis Electric Vans Debut

Currently, Stellantis is hosting a media drive in Rüsselsheim, Germany, to showcase these new electric vans. The event has attracted approximately 200 journalists from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, demonstrating the company's intent to establish itself as a leading reference in the global commercial vehicle market.

The introduction of these vans marks a significant step towards Stellantis' commitment to zero-emission vehicles. The second-generation battery electric vehicle (BEV) propulsion system offers improved range and performance. Additionally, a revamped hydrogen fuel cell system is available for larger vans, positioning Stellantis as a frontrunner in zero-emission propulsion technologies for commercial vehicles in Europe.

Equipped with an array of advanced features such as ADAS, wireless connectivity, and innovative storage solutions, these new vans are designed to provide a stress-free driving experience and serve as reliable assets for commercial owners. Stellantis anticipates that these models will substantially contribute to its revenue and market share growth. In 2023 alone, commercial vehicles constituted one-third of the company's net revenue. With this new line-up, Stellantis is well on its way to achieving its ambition of becoming the global leader in commercial vehicles by 2027.
