After an illustrious 40-year tenure at Stavis Seafoods, Mary Fleming has announced her decision to step down as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company, effective June 28, 2024. Fleming's journey with Stavis Seafoods began in 1984, marking the start of a career filled with dedication and upward mobility within the company. Starting in the accounting office, she quickly demonstrated her versatility and commitment by mastering various roles across importing, accounting, and sales departments.
Following her graduation with an MBA from Harvard Business School, Fleming returned to Stavis in 1988 to lead the accounting office. Her leadership skills soon propelled her to the role of Sales Manager in 1993, a position she held until late 2002. Subsequently, Fleming was promoted to the role of CFO, a position she has adeptly filled for the past 22 years, contributing significantly to the company's growth and success.

Mark Emmith is set to succeed Fleming as CFO. Emmith brings over two decades of financial executive experience from various industries, including manufacturing, insurance, and food & beverage. His extensive background in finance management, operations, and mergers & acquisitions due diligence makes him an ideal fit for Stavis Seafoods. Emmith holds a B.S. in Business and an MBA with a concentration in taxation from Southern New Hampshire University. His approach to leadership focuses on mentoring staff, promoting professional growth, and building cohesive teams.
