Solstice Pacific Residential Treatment Center Receives Prestigious Joint Commission Accreditation
Solstice Pacific Crisis Stabilization RTC has recently been awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services Accreditation. This prestigious recognition is a testament to the organization's dedication to delivering high-quality patient care in a safe manner. The accreditation process involved a thorough onsite review on March 15, 2024, where Solstice Pacific RTC's adherence to various standards was scrutinized.
The evaluation covered critical areas such as medication observation, health and safety protocols, emergency management, care environment, infection prevention and control, leadership quality, and the rights and responsibilities of individuals under care. Specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) care, Solstice Pacific RTC offers a rare accredited service in this field by The Joint Commission.

Narges Maududi, LCSW at Solstice, highlighted the center's integrative approach to brain health, which includes MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy), an advanced form of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), within an upscale oceanview residential setting. The center's focus on routine assistance and specialized therapy aligns with neurologists' prescriptions for TBI patients, encompassing cognitive therapy, psychological counseling, PTSD treatment, and stress-reduction techniques. Solstice is currently in network with several major insurance providers including Anthem, Blue Shield, Tricare West, Evernorth, Optum, and Aetna.
The Joint Commission’s standards are formulated with input from healthcare professionals, measurement experts, and patients themselves. This collaborative approach ensures that the standards reflect the latest in scientific research and consensus opinion. Ken Grubbs, DNP, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at The Joint Commission, commended Solstice Pacific RTC for its unwavering commitment to improving healthcare quality and patient safety.
Britten Devereux, CEO and Compliance Expert at Solstice Pacific RTC, described the center as an optimal alternative to inpatient hospitalization. The center's seven proprietary service plans are designed to foster new habits and alleviate mood instability while providing comprehensive family support. This ensures that both program graduates and their families gain valuable skills for managing their conditions.
