Smile Digital Health Unveils CDA Exchange+ To Streamline Patient Data Interoperability

Smile Digital Health, a prominent provider of Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR®) health data platforms and exchange solutions, has introduced CDA Exchange+ in their quarterly release on May 23, 2024. This new module is designed for healthcare organizations seeking to enhance their data interoperability capabilities by transforming Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) documents into the modern FHIR format.

Based on customer feedback, Smile Digital Health identified the need for a robust native CDA ingestion solution capable of transforming various CDA document types. CDA Exchange+ aims to unlock actionable clinical insights by maximizing the efficiency and reliability of the CDA to FHIR conversion process. The product includes a plug-and-play implementation guide layer, allowing customers to easily select the appropriate guide for their C-CDA to FHIR transformation.
