Recent studies have highlighted a concerning trend in the United States, where only a mere 35% of fourth-grade students are reading at or above the proficient level, according to the National Assessment of Educational Progress. It also introduces sight words and CVC words to young readers, aiding in improving their reading speed, comprehension, and accuracy. As children progress with IRIS, they begin to create short phrases and sentences, further solidifying their reading abilities.
