Shincheonji Church Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Over 30,000 Attendees
On March 14, 2024, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, also known as the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, celebrated a significant milestone in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The church marked its 40th anniversary with a grand ceremony at the Cheongpyeong Shincheonji Peace Training Centre. This event saw an impressive turnout of over 30,000 attendees on-site, with hundreds of thousands more joining through live and online broadcasts from 66 countries worldwide.
The commemorative event not only celebrated four decades of growth and development but also set the stage for future plans and visions. The Shincheonji Church of Jesus emphasized its commitment to playing a constructive role in civil society, aiming to serve as a beacon of light and salt. The meticulous planning of the event underscored the church's priority for safety and order, drawing on their experience from hosting three large-scale graduation ceremonies.

Chairman Lee Man-Hee reflected on the church's journey from its humble beginnings to its current status. He highlighted the importance of understanding God's will and actively working towards creating a better world. His message underscored the church's focus on spreading knowledge about the Book of Revelation and saving more people through the Word.
The Shincheonji Church of Jesus has seen continuous growth since its inception, contrasting with the global trend of Christian stagnation. This growth is evidenced by the increasing number of graduates from the Zion Christian Mission Center, established in June 1990 in Sadang, Seoul. Remarkably, the church celebrated over 100,000 graduates in its class of 110 graduation ceremony in 2019, a feat it repeated in subsequent years.
In addition to its educational achievements, Shincheonji Church of Jesus has fostered scriptural exchange with religious communities worldwide. It has signed MOUs with 443 churches in South Korea and 9,462 churches across 77 countries for scriptural exchange. Furthermore, 1,382 churches in 38 countries have recognized the value of Shincheonji Church of Jesus' teachings by adopting its name.
An official from Shincheonji Church of Jesus expressed gratitude towards the congregation for their active participation and adherence to safety guidelines during the event. Looking ahead, the church aims to continue setting an example for society by fulfilling its social responsibilities and contributing positively to community life.
