O’Connor Institute Awards Civic Engagement Scholarship To Molly Nealon

The Sandra Day O’Connor Institute for American Democracy has announced Molly Nealon of Sacramento, California, as the 2024 recipient of the $5,000 John Jay Fetzer Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding member of the O’Connor Institute Ambassadors program. High school seniors who are committed to community service and civics education are eligible to apply.

Molly Nealon has shown dedication to her community, excelling academically and demonstrating exemplary public service. "Serving as an Ambassador for the O’Connor Institute, I am deeply committed to advancing its core missions of promoting civil discourse, civics education, and civic engagement," Molly stated. She plans to attend the University of California, Davis honors program this fall, majoring in Environmental Science Engineering.

The O’Connor Institute Ambassadors program engages over 600 students nationwide. These students collaborate through the Institute’s forum, focusing on civics and debate.
