RS&H EVP Doug Geiger Set To Retire, Kirk Fauri Named Successor
After an illustrious career spanning over four decades at RS&H, Executive Vice President and Construction Management National Operations Leader Doug Geiger, PE, has announced his retirement set for October. Succeeding him, Kirk Fauri, PE, has been appointed as the new leader after a comprehensive search that lasted several months. This transition marks a significant moment for the firm, reflecting both on a storied past and an anticipated future of continued excellence and growth.
Doug Geiger's journey with RS&H commenced in 1984, embarking on a path that saw him deeply involved in construction, engineering, and inspection (CE&I) projects across Florida. His ascent through the ranks is a testament to his dedication and expertise, culminating in a role that saw him significantly influence the company's direction. Geiger's contributions extended beyond RS&H; he was actively involved with the American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida and played a key role in developing new directions for post-tension structures with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the American Segmental Bridge Institute. His efforts were recognized with the Ben Watts Partnership Award, highlighting his substantial contributions to fostering effective partnerships between FDOT and the consulting community.

"My time at RS&H has been nothing short of a privilege," Geiger remarked. "It's been an honor to contribute to RS&H’s mission of building a better, more connected future. I'm excited to see what lies ahead for the firm."
Kirk Fauri steps into his new role backed by a 20-year tenure at RS&H that began in Jacksonville. Since relocating to Texas in 2012, Fauri has been instrumental in expanding RS&H’s construction management team from four to over 90 associates in the state. His extensive industry knowledge, technical prowess, client management skills, and successful regional growth efforts were key factors in his selection.
"I'm incredibly excited to take on the role of Construction Management National Operations Leader," said Fauri. "I have deep respect for Doug’s legacy and am eager to continue the tradition of excellence as we begin this next chapter for RS&H."
As RS&H embarks on this new chapter, the executive leadership team acknowledges Geiger's significant impact and looks forward to the firm's future under Fauri's leadership. Lisa Robert, PE, RS&H Chief Operating Officer, expressed anticipation for celebrating Geiger's career and impacts on the firm while welcoming Fauri into his new role.
"Doug [Geiger] has been a true partner in RS&H’s evolution during his tenure," said Robert. "We welcome Kirk [Fauri] into his new role as Construction Management National Operations Leader, as he will undoubtedly propel RS&H to new heights and continue making a positive impact on our communities."
This leadership transition at RS&H not only celebrates past achievements but also sets the stage for future successes. With Fauri at the helm of construction management operations, the firm is poised for continued growth and innovation in its mission to build better, more connected communities.
