RNAConnect Debuts To Transform RNA Analysis With Advanced Research Tools

RNAConnect, a life science reagent company, officially launches today, offering new solutions for exploring the diversity of RNA sequence and structure. Founded by Anna Marie Pyle, Ph.D., Yale University Sterling Professor, RNAConnect aims to enhance RNA research with advanced enzymatic tools. The company exclusively licensed technology from Yale, developed in Pyle's lab.

This technology reveals the full spectrum of RNA processing and chemical modification isoforms in cellular mixtures, with exceptional detection of long, highly structured RNAs present at low abundance. Co-founders include industry and academic experts such as Ryan Muldoon, CEO; Li-Tao Guo, Ph.D.; Brent Graveley, Ph.D.; and Emmanuel Saliba, Ph.D.

Ryan Muldoon, previously Co-founder and CEO of PrEP Biopharm, Ltd., leads RNAConnect. Li-Tao Guo is the lead enzymatic researcher for the Pyle Lab at Yale. Brent Graveley chairs the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Emmanuel Saliba is a professor at the University of Würzburg and Group Leader at the Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research.

RNAConnect was initiated with support from Connecticut Innovations and recently received an NIH SBIR grant to optimize its reverse transcriptase products. The company is backed by a distinguished scientific advisory board including Anna Marie Pyle, Li-Tao Guo, Brent Graveley, Emmanuel Saliba, Sigrid Nachtergaele, Eric Van Nostrand, Anthony Mustoe, and Spencer Glantz.

In the coming days, RNAConnect will introduce its first RNA analysis products focused on an optimized version of UltraMarathon Reverse Transcriptase. This product aims to provide better enzymatic tools for visualizing and manipulating RNA under real-world conditions.
