Risen Energy's Hyper-ion HJT Modules Set New Efficiency Records

NINGBO, China, March 15, 2024 – Risen Energy, a leader among the global TOP10 photovoltaic (PV) enterprises, has been at the forefront of n-type heterojunction (HJT) technology since 2018. This technology stands out for its high conversion efficiency and low-carbon footprint, aligning with the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions. In a significant milestone, Risen Energy became the first in the industry to mass-produce HJT products with advanced features such as zero-busbar, ultra-thin silicon wafers, and low-silver metallization materials in 2022.

The company's dedication to innovation led to the launch of the Hyper-ion HJT products, achieving a mass production power exceeding 700W and setting new world records for module power. This achievement underscores Risen Energy's commitment to enhancing solar module efficiency and reducing silver paste consumption, which was notably reduced by about 100mg through the application of MBB technology in 2019.

Hyper-ion HJT Modules Lead in Efficiency

Risen Energy's HJT modules have consistently led global shipments in 2020 and 2021, demonstrating their competitive edge in the market. The integration of HJT cell structure with perovskite to form tandem cells further exemplifies the potential for technological advancements, with efficiency rates expected to surpass 30%, enabling power outputs over 850W without altering module size.

To validate the performance of Hyper-ion HJT modules, Risen Energy has implemented a rigorous empirical verification mechanism. Recent data from Yinchuan and Hainan revealed that Hyper-ion HJT modules offer a significant power generation gain over PERC modules, with an average increase of 3.40% in Yinchuan and 5.50% in Hainan. The latest half-year empirical data from Hainan further supports these findings, showcasing an additional electricity generation gain of 4.76% compared to PERC modules.

The empirical data from August 2023 to January 2024 highlights the superior performance of Hyper-ion HJT modules in terms of cumulative electricity generation per watt, reaching 584.75Wh/W. Even during periods of low irradiance in December 2023, these modules maintained a higher electricity generation per watt by 4.57% compared to PERC modules.

Risen Energy's ongoing commitment to research and development ensures the continuous collection and analysis of empirical data to validate the efficiency and reliability of their HJT products. The company is confident that its Hyper-ion modules will offer customers more sustainable and cost-effective installation options, maximizing economic benefits while contributing to environmental sustainability.
