42 Youth Projects Win National Fellowship For Community Impact From Riley’s Way
Riley's Way Foundation has officially announced the recipients of its 2024 Call For Kindness fellowship, recognizing 42 young individuals aged between 13 and 23 from across the United States. These young leaders have been acknowledged for their innovative ideas and actions that embody kindness, empathy, and inclusivity. Each winner has been awarded up to $5,000 to further their impactful projects, demonstrating a commitment to creating positive change within their communities.
Ian Sandler, Co-Founder and Board Chair of Riley's Way, praised the winners for their exceptional qualities and dedication to making the world a better place. He emphasized the foundation's belief in the power of investing in young leaders to bring their visionary ideas to fruition. The Call For Kindness fellowship not only provides financial support but also offers leadership development training, fostering a community of changemakers who are eager to strengthen their skills and expand their initiatives.

Dr. Christine O’Connell, Executive Director of Riley’s Way, highlighted that the 2024 winners address critical issues that resonate with young people today. Their projects span various areas including education equity, animal rights, interfaith connections, and the arts. This diverse range of initiatives reflects a national movement towards fostering kindness and community engagement.
The selected projects for this year's fellowship were chosen from hundreds of applications and originate from 36 states. Among these, ten projects were specifically recognized for their focus on pressing societal issues. Notable initiatives include Literacy Spaces in Laundromats in Cupertino, California; Rose Musical Theater in Monterey, California; and The Speaking Solution in Plainsboro, New Jersey. Each project represents a unique approach to addressing community needs through youth-led efforts.
Other remarkable projects include Tutu & Tulle in Miami, Florida; Conservation Kid Fishing Line Recycling Program in Chattanooga, Tennessee; and The Boss Ladies Podcast in San Jose, California. These initiatives showcase the breadth of creativity and commitment among young leaders striving to make a difference.
