Renault Kangoo Adds ‘Best Small Van’ Title To Its Trophy Cabinet At Business Van Awards 2024
The Renault Kangoo has once again demonstrated its dominance in the compact van market by clinching the 'Small Van of the Year' title at the Business Van Awards 2024. This accolade adds to the Kangoo's impressive collection, marking its eighth industry award within a mere year. The Business Van Awards, hosted by the Business Vans website, are a significant event in the Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) sector, celebrating manufacturers that set industry benchmarks.
Renault's Kangoo emerged as the top choice among a competitive field, earning praise for its exceptional blend of practicality, affordability in operation, and driving experience. Chris Wright, Editor at Business Vans, lauded the Kangoo for its standout features. "The new Kangoo is a really good addition to the small van market. It has low running costs, practicality, versatility and great driveability. We see it as the class leader," Wright stated.

Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, expressed pride in this recognition. "This award underlines how Kangoo continues to set the standard in its hard-fought sector. The industry recognises that there’s simply no better small van available, regardless of how it is powered," Sicard remarked.
The Renault Kangoo is offered in Advance and Extra trim levels, with options for petrol, diesel, or 100% electric powertrains. It is designed to cater to a wide range of needs with short-, long-wheelbase and crew van formats available. The model stands out for its comprehensive specification that includes up to 20 advanced driver assistance systems.

It offers an impressive driving range of up to 186 miles (WLTP), with rapid DC charging capabilities allowing for an 80% charge in approximately 43 minutes at up to 80kW. The long-wheelbase (LL21) and Crew Van versions are eligible for the maximum £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG), while medium wheelbase versions (ML19) receive £2,500 of government support.
