Annual Racial Justice At Work Summit Focuses On 'Justice For All' In 2024
In an era marked by significant societal and legal shifts concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the need for a unified platform to discuss, learn, and support these values has never been more critical. This necessity is being addressed by The Winters Group, Inc., a global consultancy specializing in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ), which is marking its 40th anniversary with the Annual Racial Justice at Work Summit. Scheduled from April 23 through 25, 2024, the virtual summit aims to serve as a beacon for those advocating for racial justice in the workplace.
The theme for the 2024 summit is "Justice for All," reflecting a comprehensive approach to addressing issues of race/ethnicity, gender, LGBTQIA+, disability, and more through equity and inclusion. The event promises a rich program featuring keynotes, sessions, and panels with over 150 thought leaders in DEI. Notable speakers include Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, Mary-Frances Winters, Dr. Johnnetta Betsch Cole, Minal Bopaiah, Jane Elliott, Minda Harts, Dr. Ruha Benjamin, Molly Burke, and Rob Smith. These speakers will cover a wide range of topics from antiracism to the legal implications of DEI work.

Participants will have the opportunity to tailor their experience by building personalized agendas from an array of offerings: seven keynotes, over 60 sessions, more than ten panels across various industries including healthcare and education, two deep-dive workshops with one focusing on self-care, and daily wellness practices. The summit not only aims to educate but also to foster a sense of community among DEI practitioners and allies during these challenging times.
Mary-Frances Winters, Founder and CEO of The Winters Group, emphasized the importance of creating a space for DEI community gathering amidst the current backlash against diversity efforts. Mareisha N. Reese, President and Chief Operating Officer of The Winters Group, highlighted the positive support for the summit as a testament to the collective commitment towards achieving justice for all.
The summit has garnered substantial backing from sponsors such as Merck, Under Armour, Bank of America, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, and Amazon among others. This support underscores the wide-ranging commitment from various sectors towards advancing DEI initiatives.
