Empowering Cambodia's Future: 100 Students Receive Chen Zhi Scholarships From Prince Foundation
In a significant move towards educational empowerment in Cambodia, the Prince Foundation, under the Prince Holding Group, recently celebrated the third Chen Zhi Scholarship Award Ceremony in Phnom Penh. This prestigious event marked the selection of 100 students poised to embark on an educational journey that promises to shape the future leaders of Cambodia. The ceremony was graced by the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, who stood as the guest of honor alongside Mr. Gabriel Tan, Chief Communications Officer of Prince Holding Group.
The Chen Zhi Scholarship, since its inception in 2021, has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for Cambodian students. It aims to foster academic excellence and provide career exposure, thereby contributing significantly to the nation's development. His Excellency Dr. Hang Chuon Naron lauded Neak Oknha Chen Zhi, Chairman of Prince Holding Group, for the scholarship's profound impact on the academic community. "Education is a transformative force for lives, communities, and our nation's future," he remarked, urging scholars to leverage this opportunity to its fullest potential.

Mr. Gabriel Tan highlighted the comprehensive nature of the Chen Zhi Scholarship, which extends beyond financial support to include mentorship from Prince employees, internship opportunities, and potential job placements post-graduation. This holistic approach aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in their future careers.
A testament to the scholarship's transformative impact was shared by Bo Lyza, a Batch 1 scholar currently majoring in Media Communications at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP). She emphasized how the program not only provided financial support but also fostered personal growth and broadened perspectives among its beneficiaries.
The ceremony also showcased the talent nurtured under Prince Foundation's initiatives, with two graduate watchmakers from Prince Horology Vocational Training Center presenting a handcrafted watch to H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron. This gesture symbolized the advanced skill sets developed through mentorship from Swiss horology experts.
Among those in attendance were notable figures from government and academia, including H.E. Mak Ngoy, Director General of Higher Education; Mr. Kong Phoumka, Director of Higher Education Department; Dr. Seng Bunthoeun, Vice Rector of the National University of Management; Mr. Kean Tak, Vice Rector of the Royal University of Phnom Penh; and Mr. Soy Ty, Deputy Director of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
