Poddster Unveils First International Podcast Studio In Singapore, Eyeing Global Reach

SINGAPORE - In a significant move marking its international expansion, Poddster, a network renowned for its video podcast production studios, has inaugurated its Asian headquarters in Singapore. This strategic establishment at the Frontech Center in Bukit Merah represents Poddster's first venture outside of Dubai. The newly opened 4,000 square-foot facility boasts four large professional studios alongside an extensive community space designed to foster closer connections within the podcasting community in Singapore.

Co-founded by serial entrepreneur Vuk Zlatarov in April 2022, Poddster is on a mission to democratise the podcast production process. By offering a modern, technology-enabled recording experience, the company aims to make high-quality podcast production accessible to anyone with a compelling idea. "Our vision is to build a network of hubs that gather some of the most inspiring figures, enabling them to learn from each other and grow together through a transformative podcasting experience," Zlatarov explained. He further highlighted the strategic importance of Singapore as a hub for international organisations and a nexus for influential figures and commercial ventures across the Asia Pacific region.

Podcasts are gaining popularity, with statistics indicating a 53 percent increase in the number of daily and weekly podcast listeners over the past year. On average, listeners engage with three to five podcasts weekly, with over 90 percent of Singaporean listeners reportedly taking action after hearing a podcast advertisement.

"Singapore represents a really exciting market for us," stated Borko Kovacevic, Co-founder and Asia Pacific CEO of Poddster. He emphasized the growing demand for professional podcasting studios that prioritize consistent service quality amidst the rising popularity of podcasts. With global podcast listenership projected to exceed 504 million by 2024, according to YouGov, Poddster has ambitious plans for further global expansion. The company aims to extend its presence to Australia, Hong Kong, and Saudi Arabia by 2025.
